Core service 04
The filings that keep a company in good standing, met early.
Incorporation, registrations, payroll and the recurring statutory filings. The deadlines that never move.

Every company carries a calendar of obligations that has nothing to do with how well the business is doing. Annual returns. Payroll remittances. The HST registration threshold. WSIB. Sales tax in each province you sell into. Miss one and the penalty is rarely large, but the letters begin, and they do not stop on their own.
We set that calendar up when you incorporate, or when you join us, and we work back from each date rather than run at it. If something was missed before we arrived, we fix it and say so.
- 01
Incorporation and registration
Federal or Ontario incorporation, CRA business number and program accounts, and the registrations a new company needs before its first sale or first hire.
- 02
Annual corporate returns
Ontario and federal annual returns filed on time, with director and address changes kept current.
- 03
Payroll and source deductions
Payroll run on schedule and remitted on schedule. Covered in detail on the Payroll page.
- 04
HST/GST registration
Registration when the small supplier threshold is crossed, or earlier when it makes sense, with the filing frequency set correctly from the start.
- 05
WSIB and provincial sales taxes
WSIB Ontario and WorkSafeBC registration and returns, and provincial sales tax in British Columbia, Saskatchewan and Manitoba for businesses that sell there.
- 06
Corporate changes
Director, officer and shareholder changes filed with the registry, coordinated with your lawyer so the minute book and the filings agree.
Deliverables, named in the engagement letter.
Scope, deadlines and fee are agreed in writing before work begins. What follows is what that letter typically lists for this service.
- A written compliance calendar for the year
- Confirmation of every filing, with copies
- A single point of contact for CRA, WSIB and registry correspondence
Tell us where the books stand. We will tell you what it takes.
Describe the situation and you will get a straight answer about what the work involves, what it costs, and how soon it can begin. Nothing is billed until an engagement letter is signed by both sides.
