We keep the books of small and mid-sized businesses, professionals and owner-operators current and defensible, and we prepare tax returns for anyone who needs one filed properly. Returns go in on schedule. Statements are ones a lender can act on. The advice comes from whoever prepared them.

01Services

Four core services. One accountant accountable for all of them.

Most clients begin with one and add others as the business grows into them. Every engagement is scoped in a written letter before work starts.

02Who we work with

Large enough to have a lender and a payroll. Not yet large enough for a finance department.

The reporting problem is the same at twenty staff as it is at two hundred. The difference is who is available to solve it. And if all you need is a personal tax return prepared properly, that is work we do too.

04How an engagement runs
  1. Step 1

    Discovery

A thirty-minute call about the business, the state of the records and anything overdue.

    Week 1
  2. Step 2

    Onboarding

Read-only access to the books, a written engagement letter, and a filing calendar for the year ahead.

    Weeks 2 to 3
  3. Step 3

    Ongoing work

The close runs on the agreed dates. Returns go in early. Questions are answered by whoever prepared the numbers, usually the same day.

    Monthly
  4. Step 4

    Annual review

The year so far, the tax position, and what changes for the next twelve months.

Our year-end used to take three months and a lot of apologising to the bank. Now the statements are ready in February and I understand them.

Tell us where the books stand. We will tell you what it takes.

Describe the situation and you will get a straight answer about what the work involves, what it costs, and how soon it can begin. Nothing is billed until an engagement letter is signed by both sides.
